Lot 4130 MODEL 1863 CIVIL WAR SINGLE ACTION STARR ARMY

REVOLVER. Cal. 44. S# 25249. Standard configuration, 8" barrel, originally blued steel frame marked on either side: "STARR ARMS CO. NEW YORK" & "STARR'S PATENT JAN. 15, 1856". Serial numbers start at 23000 continuing the numbers from earlier double action revolver. This revolver was made in early 1863 part of 25,000 US government contract. CONDITION: good overall, original & complete, brown pitted metal, S# on cylinder is weak on cylinder. One piece grip is sound with no visible inspection marks. Mechanically fine, good rifled bore.
